Kebede Godo lives in Gedeo woreda, Yirgachefe Kebele, Wogida Village, SNNPR, with his wife and 11 children. He started producing coffee in 2009 on 4.3 hectares. “When I first started in 2009, I was targeting the local market,” says Ato Kebede. Currently, he produces 6,500 kilograms of washed Kurme variety every year, and his coffee is marketed internationally through ECX and Keffa Coffee.

Ato Kebede submitted his lot to the Cup of Excellence competition with high hopes and confidence in the quality of his coffee. “I am happy with the result and will do better next year. I am very thankful for the organizers,” he said.
