Description

The farm MONTE REY is in the district of PERENE, province of CHANCHAMAYO, region of JUNIN in 1750 msl. We bought it in the year 1967, with a total area of 3.5 hectares cultivated with TYPICA plants. We had to leave the farm for several years because of the armed conflict we went through. Ten years ago, we took the decision to come back and we started planting CATURRA and BOURBON. All the new manage we are giving to the farm it is being supervised and control by our cooperative which also encourage us to learn about new technics to obtain a quality coffee.

For 53 years my family and I have work in the coffee industry, even when  the situation of our country some decades ago took us to leave our farm, we keep working in other regions, all the time since I started the work was empiric and instinctive, but since I decided to retake the farm together with my family we decided to change and improve the procedures to obtain an organic specialty coffee. These changes open to us many doors and opportunities including being now part of the competition CUP OF EXCELLENCE with our CATURRA coffee.
