I am a farmer who loves many farming activities, am 60 years old and has 3 sons who also love coffee. There is also my wife who motivated me and also a good coffee maker. The coffee I produced was also advised by my wife.
I started farming in 1992 as a Chili farmer and also a chicken farmer and fish. By 2000 I changed my farming methods to be more environment oriented. In 2005 I started herbaceous agroforestry with bananas and papayas. At the same time West Java had continued coffee cultivation because the area was coffee cultivation central a century ago and by 2002 the plan was executed with agroforestry methods. In 2010 I started focusing on coffee and deepened my understanding on coffee cultivation via agroforestry and do coffee processing as well. Over time our coffee has won the 2018 Indonesia Specialty Coffee Competition. This year with the Cup of Excellence in Indonesia we participated and are grateful for being able to go to the international round. For us COE is a golden bridge for our products to be connected with international buyers in accordance with COE quality standard. We will always participate in COE every year and keep improving the quality of our coffee to be better.
