Volcán Azul Cipresal is located on the slopes of Poas Volcano, West Valley, where we have our micro mill. Finca Volcán Azul has a track record in Cup of Excellence, we started in 2013 when we had our first COE winner. Since then we have had several international winners being the best place in 2017 with a Second place with a presidential award (+90 points).
After several experiments and recipes, this year we processed several varieties as anaerobic coffee. This lot is a Geisha and the details of the Anaerobically processed: fermentation tanks were filled with the whole pulp, kept in the tanks for 5 days and then sun-dried for an additional 12-13 days.
