The taste of the producer for coffee growing started from his childhood because his parents have always been producers, and they taught him what they knew or knew about coffee growing. In his youth he previously lived in the Community of San José Buena Vista Primero where he had his first coffee parcels. Approximately 13 years ago, it acquired the Vista Hermosa parcel, which has an area of 2 hectares, with an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. which was like an abandoned coffee plantation where there were adult plants and were varieties susceptible to rust, which is why it was no longer profitable to continue working with these varieties, that is why 10 years ago it began to renew its plantations with highly productive varieties and tolerant to pests and diseases in a technical way with the advice of Café California technicians, who have been in charge of providing training such as: high densities, planting against the slope (contour curves), fertilization plan, monitoring of Pests and diseases among others, these techniques were unknown for years due to lack of advice, the Vista Hermosa plot is a friendly plot with wildlife and the environment in it are birds, and trees of different species, the productions of three years ago years was 70 packages, two years ago I harvested 80 and in this 2020-2021 cycle I harvest 100 packages, this coffee is sold in a cooperative (orga nization) which is called UCIPA (UNION OF INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION SANTA CATARINA PANTELHO). He is currently 60 years old and wants to continue learning to improve his coffee growing production.
