I am Roberto Bagus Syahputra, 27 years old and the second child from 2 siblings. I was born in a coffee farmer family back at Pagaralam South Sumatera. Here the coffee price is valued so low that we initially had a hard life financially. My parents started cultivating different types of vegetables to fulfill our daily needs. We heard news from our family in Central Aceh that coffee over there is regarded as valuable and the quality is also better and known internationally. Finally at the beginning of 2013 I arrived at Central Aceh and learned how to cultivate coffee there. My parents followed me four years later. My first coffee farm was at least 2 hectares at the time, located at Pantan Musara, Central Aceh. Helped and guided by my parents based on their experience, the farm finally bore fruits of our efforts. After that I joined and became a member at RIBANG GAYO MUSARA Cooperative which is also located at Pantan Musara, Central Aceh in 2018. To become a member It was mandatory for me to maintain the quality starting from nurturing and cultivating process from my coffee harvest. To be able to participate in Cup of Excellence and pass to this stage is an honor and grateful experience for me as a coffee farmer.
