I am fahman yoga, since I was little I saw many people in Gayo already living and working in the coffee world. Either as a coffee farmer like my mother or a coffee collector like my friends. Almost every day in Gayo, life is never without coffee. From there I might learn and unknowingly know more about coffee. The conflict in my hometown probably influenced my motivation to enter the world of coffee. I want Kenawat Village to not only be known as a conflict village. At that time I hoped and felt that coffee could become an alternative livelihood for the villagers. In 2015 I started to enter the world of coffee as a processor (processor). Assisted by friends, we studied various processing processes and searched for coffee from many origins. Until the info about COE came, I was of the view that I should send coffee that has Gayo characteristics. That's the reason I'm sending out wet ground coffee. Because I see the entire supply chain in Gayo is moving with the wet mill post-harvest process. If I can prove that wet milled can get a good rating, it proves that what is generally done in Gayo can be increased in value. I hope that my friends in the village will no longer feel inferior with all the village's wealth. I hope that the younger generation like me will no longer be shackled by past conflicts that have passed. I hope that through coffee, Kampung Kenawat can go global. Create new opportunities and pave the way for farming families to live more prosperous lives. I hope that the wet ground coffee that supports thousands of families in Gayo can continue to sharpen its character so that it is no longer taken for granted in the eyes of the specialty coffee world.
