Assefa, a 45-year-old coffee farmer and a father of four, produces coffee on his 2.98 Ha of land in Miride Kebele, Bona Zuria Woreda in the Sidama region. Assefa grows 74112 coffee variety, and processes it into dry-natural coffee. It is his second time participating in the competition but his first to make it to the top 40. “I have been in the coffee business since I was young. My father is a coffee producer. I am very happy to make it to the top 40 in this season of COE,” says Assefa with excitement.
