Assefa Dukale Wakayo is a family business that has been in the coffee industry for the last 23 years working with sister companies that own 13 coffee washing stations. It operates in Shendawa kebele in the Bensa zone of the Sidama region which is found at an altitude of 2180 meters above sea level. It works with 450 coffee farmers that live around its washing stations who mostly apply organic agricultural practices. Its average annual coffee production is 209,015.3 kilograms. The company ensures that the coffee it collects is traceable and of high quality. Assefa Dukale Wakayo prepares anaerobic natural coffee as well as red honey which is semi-washed and washed. Recently it has started to export its coffee to Singapore, China, France, and the Middle East.
