Gissela María Lanza Lontero is the owner of Finca La Huerta # 2, located at 1400 meters above sea level, in the village of La Peña, municipality of Santa Bárbara, Department of Santa Bárbara. She represents the second generation of coffee growers with a solid tradition in producing quality coffee. Gisela learned, first hand from her father, the importance of maintaining excellence in coffee cultivation.
Gisela is passionate about many aspects of coffee production. But above everything she dedicates time to learn about cupping coffee production production and marketing.v
In order to keep her farm in good conditions and perform proper management of the environment, she prefers to fertilize with organic products along with other best practices.

Cup of Excellence means to connect and meet new people; keeping good old friends in the coffee industry. Also it represents for her, the opportunity to introduce her coffee to the biggest world buyers. To participate in this event is some sort of "validation", like “graduating from college”. It gives recognition and guarantees that someone will listen and pay attention to her coffee. Gisela thinks the quality of the coffee is present in the cupping table.
