Description
I´m participating with a Parainema variety , natural process. To make this process work, we train our coffee harvesters to select only the red coffee cherries, and after that doing a floating process we take out the coffee that doesn’t meet the quality requirements. Our drying process takes a month and a half, it takes 45 days to allow a proper drying of our coffee. One of the things that makes Colibri Farm interesting and unique is that we cultivate in a 50% shadow, we have a microclimate. We do the coffee tissues handling so that way the plant is always nourished and has the strength for production. This is my fourth time participating in the Cup of Excellence. I feel very proud, because every time I´ve participate, I´ve been selected in the finalists. My expectations are to be able to sell our coffee a better price, to be able to sustain our farm and our family. For all the achievements that Colibri Farm has made, I thank the IHCAFE technicians because every time we look for them, they have been able to come and help us.
