NW - Abo-Kor Coffee&farm - Thailand 2026

Abo-kor Coffee & Farm is nestled in Ban Sib Lang Akha. The village’s name, "Sib Lang" (which translates to "Ten Houses"), originates from its humble beginnings when the settlement consisted of just ten households. In the past, this area served as a residential village for workers employed by Maejo University’s Winter Crops Development and Experimental Center. Although the project was discontinued in 1991, a number of workers chose to remain, settling down alongside the indigenous Akha people and forming a close-knit, high-altitude agricultural community.
In 1996, Arabica coffee was introduced to the village as a primary cash crop. Today, the community boasts a rich coffee-growing heritage spanning over 30 years. This legacy has been passionately passed down through three generations: beginning with the grandfather, transitioned to the father, and now carried forward by the third-generation heir, who has expanded and modernized the family legacy into Abo-kor Coffee & Farm.
Our farm is uniquely situated in a natural valley surrounded by high mountains, sitting at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters above sea level within the Huai Sai watershed. Blessed with a cool climate all year round and an average temperature of 22°C, the environment provides the perfect terroir for cultivating premium-quality Arabica coffee. While the community also grows various winter fruits, coffee remains the primary economic backbone and the main source of income for the local people, with a portion of the exceptional harvest dedicated to producing specialty coffee.
