The farm has a total of 120.86 hectares, of which only 19% is used for coffee cultivation and the rest for forest reserve
Located in the highest areas of the Cobán region in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, Aurora Farm was founded and run by European immigrants. Coffee cultivation and production of sacks of yute, panela and molasses began in 1887. For four generations, coffee beans were exported to Europe´s most prestigious coffee importers and roasters.
Aurora farm grows Red Caturra from Brazil, Venice, Bourbon, Catimore, Villa Sarchi, Geisha and Pacamara, with an excellent cup-rating score.
Designed by Eng. Aldo Onofrio Annese, the coffee equipment – made 100% of stainless steel includes reception tanks, pulpers, pre-dry and African-style drying tables. This state-of-the-art equipment follow the highest standars of food processing to ensure a superior dry processing method and guarantees the final product for exportation.
