David Cifuentes Ramírez is a dedicated coffee producer from the community of El Letrero in Honduras de la Sierra, Chiapas. His farm, Finca El Naranjo, established in 2000, reflects his family's commitment to sustainable and high-quality coffee cultivation. Situated at 1,504 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from rich organic soils and a favorable microclimate in the highlands of Chiapas.
Under David's stewardship, Finca El Naranjo employs environmentally friendly practices, including the use of organic compost, manual harvesting of ripe cherries, and careful drying processes to ensure bean quality. His dedication to excellence was recognized in the 2025 Cup of Excellence Mexico, where his coffee, processed in collaboration with Cari Coffee, achieved 12th place with a score of 86.64 points.
Cari Coffee is an organization that supports coffee producers like David by providing training and resources to implement sustainable farming practices and improve post-harvest processing. Through their partnership, David has enhanced the quality of his coffee, contributing to the reputation of Chiapas as a region producing exceptional specialty coffees.
