Description
“Pucaloma” is in Ocumal District, Luya Province, Amazonas Department. The farm was named after the sector where it is located, with its name originating from the abundance of an insect called "pucha." The farm was acquired in 2017 with Typica coffee plants that were over 15 years old. In 2019, the farm was renovated with Castillo variety coffee, maintaining fruit trees like andalan, guaba, chamizo, orange, and bananas as shade. The first harvest in 2020 resulted in a cup score of over 84 points. Since then, improved practices like anaerobic fermentation have led to better quality results. I come from a family of coffee growers who have cultivated Typica and Caturra varieties for generations.
