Description
For generations almost all my lineage has always been dedicated to the coffee sector, we consider ourselves coffee farmers all our lives. When the prices of the cherries of coffee were very low, we decided to move up in the chain and sell in parchment.
We have always been farmers, we dedicate 100% of our time to the land, we have cattle and also some other crops for our own consumption, such as chili and corn, and our forte, which is coffee.
The farm mostly works with family members. We cultivated Bourbon, Garnica, Sarchimor and Costa Rica 95. The natural shade is provided by Inga Vera trees. The family members, have their own plots of land to take care of the process from start to finish. We help each other together, designated activities to each memaber but we also offer work to external people, who help us to cut the coffee, to pick it selectively, to carefully remove the vain and to carry out all the activities involved until it leaves the place.
We produce the washing process and its drying method is on raised beds to later store it on pallets, which helps the coffee to be of good quality, we care about offering a coffee of excellence and good taste. This year is the first time I participate in COE Mexico and I feel very proud of the results and motivated to continue working in specialty coffee.
