Sintayehu is a 30 years old farmer and a mother of five children. She has been a coffee farmer just a year ago. She lives in Mirke kebele in Bura zone, Sidama region. She owns two hectares of land and produces 4000 kilograms of coffee. She processes her coffee into natural dry coffee. She says she has not yet sold her current produce because she is still negotiating with coffee suppliers in her locality. “I live close to where Nigussie Gemeda lives (the 2020 winner of the competition) so I was encouraged to try and that’s why I entered the competition. I am very excited about the results. I am happy t be one of the top ten coffees” she said.
