Description

Tamirat is a 43-year-old father of three. He owns 2.493Ha of land in Buku Saisa Kebele, Ambela Adama woreda, west Guji Zone, Oromia region. He grows a 74110 coffee variety processed into dry-natural coffee. Both his grandfather, father, and brother’s work in the coffee industry, so it was natural for him to go into the business. He entered his coffee to the COE for the third time. He won 36th place in 2020 but didn’t make it in 2021.

He says he prepared his coffee with utmost care and knew he would make it to the top 40 this year. “I did my best, and I left the rest to God. I am happy about the result, and I want to help farmers around me benefit from this program”.
