Description
#1 — Las Nubes
Alex Ureña Marín | Mill: Roger Ureña Hidalgo
Las Nubes is a 4-hectare family farm situated in one of the highest and most mist-covered areas of Santa María de Dota, at 2,000 meters above sea level — with drying infrastructure positioned even higher, at 2,100 meters. The name means 'The Clouds,' a fitting description for a farm that seems to exist above the weather itself. Rocky, well-drained soils and a constant cool climate create ideal conditions for the Typica Mejorado, Geisha, and SL28 varieties grown here.
Cherries are hand-picked exclusively at full ripeness and dried on African beds inside greenhouses — a careful combination that preserves the natural sweetness of the fruit through the entire process. This is not Las Nubes' first time at the top of the Honey & Natural category: the farm has earned first place before, and this recognition reflects years of continuous refinement. Every decision, from harvest timing to drying rotation, is made with the same attention to detail that has defined this project since its beginning.
