Description
Located just 3 kilometers north of Finca La Torre, in the district of Páramo, Finca La Cusuka is a 3-hectare property born with a clear vision: to produce exceptional coffees capable of competing on the world’s most demanding stages.
Established at 1,950 meters above sea level, this farm presents extreme conditions which, when combined with meticulous agronomic management, allow for the development of unique sensory profiles. One of its pillars is varietal diversity: here we cultivate Taka Geisha, SL28, SL34, SL14, SL17, Java, and Ethiope 47—each one strategically selected for its cup potential, agronomic behavior, and adaptability to the high-mountain microclimate.
The name "La Cusuka" was inspired by a very particular element. In this region, the armadillo is commonly known as a cusuco, and during our initial visits to the land, its frequent presence became a symbol of the living biodiversity that surrounds the farm. Thus, was born a name that honors both the local fauna and the deep connection between our coffee and the natural environment that nurtures it.
The year 2025 marks a milestone for Finca La Cusuka: its first participation and first international recognition in a competition of this caliber. This achievement not only validates the original vision behind the farm but also secures its place as a highly competitive estate within the Corazón de Jesús portfolio.
Finca La Cusuka represents the evolution of our project: a young, diverse farm, focused on the future yet deeply rooted in its origin.
