Description
Finca Alina is a young specialty coffee farm located at 1,200 meters above sea level in the renowned coffee-growing region of Coatepec, Veracruz. Established in early 2022 by producer Michael Anda Baur, the farm was conceived with a clear vision: to cultivate exceptional coffees through sustainable and meticulous practices.
Spanning four hectares, Finca Alina is planted with two distinguished Arabica varieties: Marsellesa and Geisha. The farm's first significant harvest occurred in February 2025, marking a milestone in its journey toward producing high-quality coffee.
The Geisha lot, featured in this inaugural harvest, underwent a natural processing method. After selective handpicking of ripe cherries, the coffee was carefully fermented and then dried under shade on raised beds at the farm. Currently, the coffee is stored in new plastic bags within jute sacks, housed in a dedicated warehouse in Coatepec to preserve its quality.
From its inception, Finca Alina has been dedicated to producing specialty coffee. The farm employs a specialized nutrition program to ensure the health and vitality of its coffee plants, aiming to express the unique terroir of the region in every cup.
With its commitment to quality and sustainability, Finca Alina represents a promising addition to the specialty coffee landscape of Veracruz.
