8 - Finca La Luz - Mexico 2026 (Dry)

This is our second consecutive year participating in the Cup of Excellence—a journey marked by unstoppable growth and an unwavering winning spirit. Located in the unique terroir of Zentla, Veracruz, Finca La Luz spans 2.5 hectares that have been lovingly cultivated by my family for four generations. Our deeply rooted commitment is to nurture a healthy, balanced ecosystem that produces vibrant, juicy cherries. This year, we return to the global stage with a magnificent 100% Geisha Natural micro-lot, representing the shared dreams, illusions, and hard work of the many families whose livelihoods depend on our land, paving a sustainable way forward for a new generation of coffee producers.

At Finca La Luz, our agricultural approach seamlessly marries meticulous artisanal traditions with advanced biodynamic nutrition and precise soil pH management. Nestled at an altitude of 950 to 1,250 meters, our Geisha trees thrive under a carefully controlled shade canopy. During the January 2026 harvest, we executed a strict manual selection, followed by a rigorous washing and floating process to guarantee flawless cherry density. This lot was then slowly sun-dried on raised beds (camas africanas) in its whole cherry form (capulín), before being safely stored in high-barrier Ecotact packaging to preserve its pristine quality. Our processes are 100% sustainable, ensuring that every cup is as restorative for the palate as it is gentle on the planet.

This natural Geisha lot is a pure projection of our heart and soul, delivering an exceptionally clean, elegant, and rewarding sensory experience whether enjoyed in the morning or as an evening delight. Our growth throughout this cycle has been deeply enriched by the true friendships, colleagues, and community that God placed along our path. We are profoundly grateful to the Cup of Excellence for providing independent producers like us with a bridge to the international specialty market.
