Description
The dream of producing coffee was born in his childhood, when he helped his father in the coffee fields of Tapiraí (MG). Even after pursuing another professional path — forty years dedicated to fruit crop research at Epamig — his love for the land never ceased to beat strongly. In 2012, upon retiring, he decided to revive that long-held dream. He then purchased Sítio Ponte Alta, in Aiuruoca (MG), a charming property located in the Serrinha neighborhood, at the foothills of the Serra do Papagaio State Park.
It was there that the story began anew. With dedication and care, he started cultivating coffee and olive trees, blending tradition and innovation in the same soil. The first coffee trees were planted in 2020, and three years later, in 2023, came the joy of the first harvest — a symbolic milestone of perseverance and love for the land.
Sítio Ponte Alta is located in the Mantiqueira de Minas region, which holds a Denomination of Origin recognition. Its mountainous terrain and fertile soil are ideal for growing high-quality coffee. At an average altitude of 1,300 meters, the Catuaí Vermelho and Arara varieties flourish amid the preserved nature of the mountains, carrying in each bean the flavor of a dream cultivated with patience, knowledge, and passion.
