7 - De La Finca Coffe Farm - Nicaragua 2025

My name is Don Heberto Rivas, we are from the municipality of San Juan de Río Coco, department of Madriz. Casa Rivas Gurdián is the fourth family generation dedicated to the coffee business. In our farm we have 22 manzanas where we grow different varieties of coffee such as Maragogype, Java, Geisha, Bourbon, Pacamara, Catuai, Sidra and Ethiopia.

We founded a coffee shop in the city of Managua and it is worth mentioning that we produce and manage the whole process in our farm and take it to our stores. We are the first to give an added value to a coffee shop, here we taste and pack the coffee, a fresh coffee, a quality coffee.

Since 2016 we were the first to have a specialty coffee shop in Nicaragua and in our storeswe prepare more than 10 types of infusions and coffee extractions, especially the house Blend with 87.00 points. We also mention that there are articles that call us the temple of coffee in Managua.

Our mission is to promote high quality coffee to promote Nicaraguan coffee.

We have had the opportunity to specialize in El Salvador with certifications from the SCA: my wife in cupping and me in roasting and roasting curves.

We are the first coffee shop to compete in the Cup of Excellence Contest. We are pleased to mark history with our collaborators from the farm and our stores, who are a fundamental pillar that helps us with the care and handling of the coffee, which allows us to have the privilege of quality.

This is the third time that the brand creates and leaves a legacy in Nicaragua, which motivates us a lot and we want to continue growing every year to continue competing and being among the best coffees in the country.

The Nicaragua 2025 Cup of Excellence Contest has given us a seal of quality in our coffee shop, since a panel of international judges valued it, which makes us happy and helps us locally to position ourselves more in the market.

With this support provided by the Cup of Excellence Nicaragua Contest, this seal of quality is a blessing, it is more than a prestige.

We have represented Nicaragua twice worldwide in barista competitions and have been champions and runners-up in Ireland and South Korea. We won first place as the best SME in Central America, competing with more than 800 SMEs.

DELAFINCACOFFEE/CASA RIVAS GURDIAN has contributed to Nicaraguan coffee at a local level and in this way we tell Nicaragua that we are here and that the coffee you drink is from the Nicaraguan Cup of Excellence.
