Description
We acquired Finca Los Bellotos at the end of 2012, drawn by its prime location and diverse
coffee varieties. Initially, we believed it was cultivated with Bourbon and Pacas. Upon our
first encounter with the farm, we instantly fell in love with its picturesque landscape,
breathtaking views, and the warmth of its people. Situated in the western part of the "Cerro
Verde" volcano, Finca Los Bellotos boasts an elevation ranging between 1,400 and 1,600
masl. It is nestled facing the Izalco Volcano, benefiting from the shielding presence of this
majestic neighbor that safeguards it from strong winds. At this farm, labor begins unusually
early in the morning to navigate the heavy fog that blankets the farm later in the day,
limiting visibility. Our decision to purchase the farm stemmed from our realization of its
exceptional nature. It was on this very land that we discovered our renowned "Bernardina"
coffee varietal. Finca Los Bellotos features a blend of Bourbon, Pacas, and Bernardina
varietals, processed through various methods including washed, honey, and natural.
