At Finca San José de las Nubes, located in the mountains of Matagalpa, Nicaragua, every coffee bean tells a story of effort, tradition and passion. Our farm has been worked for generations, and what sets us apart is our focus on sustainable practices, care for the community and the constant search for exceptional quality.
From soil and shade management, to hand harvesting and careful selection of the grapes, the entire process is carried out with detail and dedication. Participating in the Cup of Excellence is not just an achievement, it is the result of a full year of disciplined work, thoughtful technical decisions, and a deep respect for the land and those who work it.
In addition to farming, we also maintain a school on the farm to support the education of our workers' children, and we develop nutrition programs for the community. All of this is part of the identity of our coffee and our vision as producers.
We are completely in agreement and proud that this story is shared on the official platforms of the Alliance for Coffees of Excellence (ACE), CONATRADEC, and on the social networks of Cup of Excellence Nicaragua. It is an excellent opportunity to give visibility to the work in the field and the human value behind each cup of coffee. About our Maragogipe Natural:
For this special batch of Maragogipe, we send our most experienced worker to the field, someone who knows the plant like the back of his hand. He personally selects only the cherries at their optimum ripeness, when they reach the ideal level of sweetness.
But the work doesn't stop there. After the initial harvest, we perform a second selection by hand, berry by berry, to ensure that only the best cherries pass through the natural process. This is the lot that you are tasting: a coffee that is cared for from plant to drying, with meticulous attention at each stage to bring out the best of the Maragogipe.
