Description

My name is Heyvis Sagastume Enamorado, I am 34 years old. For us, the coffee industry represents much more than a source of income; it is a legacy passed down through several generations, thanks to ancestral knowledge and practices. My first steps working with coffee began as early as I can remember, helping my family with various jobs in the coffee processing chain. Some of the biggest challenges we face today as producers are climate change, labor shortages, and high production costs, and we have overcome these by adopting new measures and working as a team with our family.
Participating in the Cup of Excellence this year is a unique, emotional, and challenging experience, as we compete against the best coffees nationwide. The meaning of this experience reflects the hard work we have been putting in for several years.
