Description
Farm Las Hortensias - Natural beauty with family legacy
Farm Las Hortensias owes its name to the flowers that grow along its paths, bringing color and harmony to an environment where every detail matters. It is a small but emblematic farm, nestled in the community of Buenos Aires, Dipilto - within the first region with a coffee denomination of origin in Nicaragua.
With more than 50 years of family history, Las Hortensias has passed from generation to generation as a symbol of dedication, respect for the land and a constant search for excellence. Surrounded by biodiversity, natural shade and rich volcanic soils, the farm preserves an ecological and artisanal approach.
Thanks to this constancy and care, it has been a recurring finalist in the Nicaragua Cup of Excellence, standing out for its expressive lots and meticulous processes.
Where tradition inspires innovation
Although small in size, Finca Las Hortensias is a true laboratory of controlled fermentation. The lot presented this year was a Catuai Rojo Lavado, carefully fermented and washed with attention to detail to highlight the cleanness and sweetness of the profile in the cup.
The coffee is then carefully transferred to Cafetos de Segovia, where drying begins under standardized conditions. Each step is documented and traced, allowing consistency without losing identity.
Our approach combines traditional experience with a willingness to experiment. We believe that innovation is not only about technology, but also about observing, adapting and improving what already works.
Here, every flower, every cherry and every decision reflect the soul of a farm that flourishes with patience and purpose.
