Description
My name is Sergio Antonio Gutiérrez Zavala, coffee producer. We participated in Cup of Excellence with a coffee of the Catuaí Rojo variety, a Natural process produced in the El Liquidambar Farm, which is located in the Volcancitos Zone in the Municipality of Mozonte, department of Nueva Segovia.
These last years participating in Cup of Excellence has been a challenge for our family business, due to the fact that the quality of Nicaraguan coffee has improved a lot and we decided to compete in the process category with the Catuai variety, being selected as the only winning farm with this variety among many others that participated with exotic varieties, this highlights the potential and quality of our coffee that was chosen among the 15 winners.
Our farms are located in a privileged area of Mozonte, which provides adequate conditions for the production of coffee, which has allowed us to take our first steps as producers and marketers and to grow with new areas of coffee every year, producing the already established varieties and cultivating new varieties of specialty and exotic coffees.
This year was our fourth participation in Cup of Excellence and we reached our fourth auction, always being among the winners. Our coffee is worked in our company from the farm to the final exportable product, taking care of each stage and quality process.
