Description

I'm Francisco Alvarado Gomez, with a decade of experience as a specialty coffee producer. This harvest marks my first venture into cultivating Geisha, a variety I've been nurturing since the inception of my greenhouse. Participating in the Cup of Excellence (COE) has been my primary objective throughout, and achieving this milestone fills me with a profound sense of pride. I'm deeply grateful to God, above all, and to the IHCAFE technicians for their unwavering support along this journey. Their guidance and trust have kept me on the right path to realize this accomplishment.

My partnership with Ronny Gamez has been instrumental in marketing my coffee. It was through his assistance that I acquired the seeds necessary for cultivating Geisha. Entrusted with this batch, I dedicated myself to nurturing it, aiming for exceptional results with the right variety. My journey in specialty coffee has been one of relentless effort and dedication. Despite challenges, such as inadequate road connections in our community, the collective efforts during coffee harvesting seasons enabled us to address this issue, resulting in improved road infrastructure connecting our community to the main town.

Looking ahead, my goal as a coffee producer is to continue expanding my expertise in coffee production. By doing so, I aim to consistently produce exceptional coffee that meets the standards of the Cup of Excellence, satisfying the discerning palates of international buyers. My aspiration is to continually enhance the overall quality, ensuring a steady climb up the ladder of COE winners.
