Description
We bought this farm in 2015; before that, we were their customers. We plan to explore the estate's excellent terroir and began growing varieties from Panama, Colombia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Our experiments with different fermentation and processing methods continue. Finca Libre has a cool and rainy microclimate, which results in a very slow ripening of the coffee cherries.
As a result, our harvest period extends over six months. We planted geisha seedlings in the highest part of the farm, but they all died from cold damage in the first year.
It was a big disappointment at the time, but now we look back on it as a valuable experience and memory. With the passion of the Coffee Libre S.A. team and the support of neighboring growers, we continue to work hard to improve and grow the farm.
