Description
La Ponderosa farm was founded in 2020, amid the vibrant green landscapes of the cloud forest in the district of Chontalí, province of Jaén, in the department of Cajamarca. At an altitude of 1,960 m a.s.l, the farm is surrounded by lush nature, where the morning mist and biodiversity of the ecosystem create ideal conditions for sustainable agriculture and close connection with the land.
The 2023 harvest marked a milestone since its creation, La Ponderosa has established itself as a family and community project, guided by the respect for the natural environment and production in harmony with the forest. More than one farm, represents a life project that combines tradition, effort and love for the land, reflecting the environmental and cultural richness of Chontalí.
Special for the family: Beans carefully selected by hand, one by one, guaranteeing the highest quality and honoring the coffee-growing tradition of Jaén and Cajamarca.
When roasted, they released an intense and elegant aroma, a pure expression of what defines La Ponderosa: living nature, passion for coffee, and the dedicated work of the families who cultivate their dreams among the mountains.
