It is a farm surrounded by forest where there is a diversification of species of birds, rodents and other animals, as well as a great diversity of flora, this is the reason why doña Yadira has a deep love for these lands where you can breathe tranquility and admire the beauty of nature.
She does not come from a traditional coffee growing family, however she felt that connection with the land, which is why in 2006 she bought this farm. It is a fertile land that produces a coffee of excellence and where the mountains provide a microclimate for the coffee to grow with notes that make it different.
Doña Yadira together with her husband, have found in Wilson López, the administrator of the farm, a support to move it forward. She mentions “Together we have been learning the touch to give a good management to the plant, good management to the coffee bean in order to have coffee of excellence and to be in these places in the cup of excellence”.
Conservation and sustainable production are the basis for the management of the farm, carrying out manual weeding and making a rational use of chemical products to maintain a balance with the environment that surrounds the farm.
Doña Yadira mentions that in this journey through the coffee culture she has found people that have been part of this merit, Sajonia has been key to manage the coffee and maintain its quality, that is why she feels in love with the entire system, in each actor she feels a network of support that allows her coffee to stand out.
Participating in the Cup of Excellence is a source of great pride that exposes all the work that is done on the farm to maintain a quality cup.
